Uganda school bus crash kills 20 children and 1 adult | Transport News | Al Jazeera

A school bus carrying students from King David Junior School veered off the road near Chekwatit village in Kapchorwa district, eastern Uganda, killing 20 children and one adult, believed to be the school's founder and head. Over 28 children were taken to hospitals, nine in critical condition. The Ugandan government suspended all school trips following the crash. Preliminary investigations suggest the driver lost control after hitting a large stone.
