Ukraine: Putin's 'Invincible' Missiles Foiled by the LIMA System

Since summer 2025, Ukraine's LIMA system has neutralized 58 out of 59 Russian hypersonic Kinjal missiles. This electronic warfare system creates a barrier that blocks the missiles' satellite navigation, redirecting them to fictitious targets. In addition to the Kinjal, LIMA has also diverted Shahed drones and reduced the accuracy of Iskander missiles. The estimated cost to deploy the system across Ukraine is around $1 billion, providing a cost-effective alternative to American missile batteries.
