Lifeless body of a 5-year-old child found in a man's sack

On Sunday, June 14, 2026, police officers from the Anti-Crime Brigade in Bouaké arrested a man carrying a sack containing the body of a child aged about five. During interrogation, the suspect confessed to kidnapping and killing the child as part of ritual practices to appease fetishes. Investigators subsequently exhumed three more children's bodies from bushes in the Konankankro neighborhood.
