Teen on electric motorbike detained for killing gran in crash on zebra crossing

Billy Stokoe, an 18-year-old, was sentenced to nearly seven years in youth detention for causing the death of 86-year-old Gloria Stephenson on a zebra crossing in Sunderland in May 2025. Stokoe, who was riding an illegal electric motorbike and was under the influence of cannabis, struck the victim and fled the scene.
