Communal clash leaves over 20 dead, 400 homes razed in Adamawa

At least 20 people are feared dead following coordinated attacks by suspected ethnic militias on the Kwah and Gyakan communities in the Lamurde Local Government Area of Adamawa State. The assailants stormed Gyakan in an early morning attack, burning homes and displacing residents, before advancing to Kwah to continue the assault. A local resident reported that the death toll may rise as additional bodies were found after the delayed arrival of security personnel.
