Russian military plane intercepted by Poland

Poland intercepted a Russian military Ilyushin Il-20 electronic reconnaissance aircraft on Tuesday afternoon off its coast near the port of Ustka in Pomerania. The plane was flying without a flight plan or active transponder. After a warning from Polish fighters, it turned back. Polish Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz called the incident the first Russian attempt in a long time to probe Polish air defense capabilities.
