South Sudanese Businessman Abducted in Kenya Is Being Held at Juba Military Base, Amnesty Says

South Sudanese businessman Athorbey Al-Gaddhaffy-Dit, also a Kenyan citizen, was abducted on June 11, 2026 in Nairobi by armed masked individuals. According to Amnesty, he is being detained in a military base in Juba, South Sudan, after being illegally deported from Kenya. He had been exposing corruption among South Sudan's ruling elite.
