Bauchi man found slaughtered in room as rights group faults police investigation

Najamu Aminu, 33, was found slaughtered in his room in Gwallaga, Bauchi, on June 9, 2026. The Organisation for African Child Development and Human Rights Protection criticized the police for failing to arrest suspects and releasing the body too quickly. Police spokesperson SP Nafiu Abubakar said the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for a thorough investigation.
