HIV in Côte d'Ivoire: 406,961 People Affected, Tailored Testing at the Heart of the Response

In 2024, 406,961 people were living with HIV in Côte d'Ivoire, including 265,409 women, 124,519 men, and 17,033 children. The district of Abidjan accounts for 36% of the cases. Côte d'Ivoire recorded 8,209 new infections and 8,366 HIV-related deaths, but deaths have decreased by 75% due to advancements in care. Tailored testing is emphasized as a key strategy to improve access to health services.
