US imposes sanctions on Cuban president, Castro family members

The United States announced fresh economic sanctions against Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel, his wife and stepson, as well as the son and grandson of former President Raul Castro. The Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces and other entities were also targeted. These measures are part of the Trump administration's escalated pressure, including a de facto fuel blockade that has deepened Cuba's energy crisis.
