US judge halts execution by nitrogen gas, ruling it unconstitutional

A federal judge in the US has permanently blocked Alabama from executing inmate Jeffery Lee by nitrogen gas, ruling it violates the Eighth Amendment's ban on cruel and unusual punishment.
