US monitoring Ebola outbreak in DRC and Uganda, providing assistance

US health officials are monitoring an Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo, reporting 65 deaths out of 246 suspected cases in Ituri province. In Uganda, a Congolese man died in Kampala from Ebola Bundibugyo. The CDC, led by Jay Bhattacharya, is working with the health ministries of both countries to support response efforts.
