U.S rout Paraguay 4-1 in World Cup opener

The United States started their 2026 World Cup campaign with a resounding 4-1 victory over Paraguay in Los Angeles. An own goal by Damian Bobadilla (7th minute) and a brace from Folarin Balogun put the US ahead, before Mauricio pulled one back. Gio Reyna sealed the win in stoppage time. Christian Pulisic was substituted at halftime due to a possible injury.
