USA: Russia demands removal of nuclear weapons deployed in Europe – La Nouvelle Tribune

Russia demands the withdrawal of all US nuclear bombs stationed in five NATO countries (Belgium, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Turkey). Russian diplomat Andrei Belousov called these weapons 'strategic' due to their ability to strike Russian territory, and demanded their return to the United States along with the dismantling of infrastructure. About 180 modernized B61-12 bombs have been deployed since the 1960s. Belousov rejected any symmetry with Russian tactical nuclear weapons and stated that negotiations on this issue have no prospects.
