Real Madrid beat Barcelona 2-1 at Camp Nou to halve gap to La Liga leaders

Kylian Mbappe scored twice to give Jose Mourinho’s Real Madrid a 2-1 win over Barcelona at Camp Nou, cutting the gap to the La Liga leaders to three points. Raphinha had equalised for the champions, who suffered their first domestic defeat of the season after winning their opening nine games. Real remain third behind Barcelona and Atletico Madrid and have now won five straight matches in all competitions, while Barcelona have lost twice in a row after their Champions League defeat to PSG.
