Uvira: Local Authorities Call to Ban Hate Speech

Local authorities in Uvira, South Kivu, have called for a ban on hate speech to promote social cohesion. The chief of the Sange locality, Mabiswa Selemani Jean de Dieu, urged residents to avoid settling scores and contribute to peace in the region. The Collective of Civil Society Organizations of South Kivu praised this initiative and requested the establishment of a ceasefire monitoring mechanism to protect civilians.
