2025 budget implementation: Concerns over alleged 7% disbursement for security equipment

The security crisis in Nigeria is worsening, with reports indicating that the Nigerian Army and Air Force are facing significant underfunding. Of the N20.56 billion budgeted for security equipment, only N1.46 billion, or 7.11%, was disbursed by the end of 2025. Additionally, over 10,000 people were killed in Nigeria in 2025, and the country's debt reached N159.28 trillion.
