El-Rufai: 2027 may be Nigeria's last election - Arewa youth groups warn

The Coalition of Arewa Youth Groups warned that 2027 may be Nigeria's last election. They demanded the immediate release of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, who is in custody of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC). The group called on Northern youths to vote out the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2027, lamenting El-Rufai's detention while other ex-governors under EFCC investigation are free. They also urged resistance against Governor Uba Sani's attempt to turn Kaduna into a one-party state.
