Bably (Zarabaon Canton): Woman Accused of Killing Her Grandson by Witchcraft Found Hanged

In the village of Bably, located in the Zou sub-prefecture, 67-year-old Yehou Simone was found hanged from a tree shortly after being accused, along with five others, of belonging to a sorcerer’s confraternity involved in the death of a 17-year-old student. The accusations were made during a traditional session before the student’s burial, and the day before her death, Yehou Simone left her home without explanation. Her body was discovered by her children, hanging from a tree, causing widespread shock in the village.
