Diomaye's Appointment: Who is Abdoul Madjib Guèye, the new strongman of the Court of Auditors?

Abdoul Madjib Guèye has been appointed First President of the Court of Auditors by decree of President Bassirou Diomaye Faye, succeeding Mamadou Faye who retired. A senior financial magistrate, he has been at the Court of Auditors since 1999 and has nearly forty years of public service. Prior to his appointment, he served as president of the Chamber of Public Enterprises and holds degrees from the École supérieure polytechnique de Dakar and ENAM. The appointment aims to strengthen transparency and good governance in public finances.
