VANGUARD ECONOMIC DISCOURSE: How Nigeria can reverse N2.5trn Agric export deficit — Gadain

At the 9th Vanguard Economic Discourse in Lagos, Dr. Hussein Gadain, FAO Representative in Nigeria, highlighted that the country's agricultural trade deficit is estimated at N2.5 trillion. He called for an urgent shift from raw agricultural exports to value addition and industrial processing to reverse this deficit. Gadain also emphasized the need for increased investments in agro-processing infrastructure and improved competitiveness of Nigerian agricultural exports.
