You can only get American Visas from these 20 African cities

The United States has reduced the number of visa issuance centers in sub-Saharan Africa from 50 to 20. In East Africa, the US embassy in Burundi will no longer issue visas. Remaining centers include Dar es-Salaam (Tanzania), Kampala (Uganda), Kinshasa (DRC), Kigali (Rwanda), and Nairobi (Kenya). Burundi, South Sudan, and Somalia will have to seek visas at embassies in Uganda or Kenya.

The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that unsafe food causes about 866 million illnesses and 1.5 million deaths annually worldwide. Children under five, though only 9% of the global population, suffer nearly one-third of all foodborne diseases, primarily deadly diarrheal illnesses. Chemical hazards such as methylmercury and lead in food can also harm children's brain development. The greatest burden is in Africa and South-East Asia, and productivity losses from these diseases are estimated between US$310 billion and US$647 billion.

Indonesia’s rupiah falls to record low against US dollar

Indonesia's rupiah hit 18,028 against the US dollar on Thursday, breaching the psychological 18,000 level amid surging energy costs from the US-Israel war on Iran. The energy shock is straining Southeast Asian economies, particularly Indonesia and the Philippines, leading to capital outflows and weaker currencies. Permata Bank chief economist Josua Pardede said high dollar demand from oil price spikes and a narrowing trade surplus are fueling the depreciation. Despite rate hikes and intervention by Bank Indonesia, the rupiah continues to weaken.
