Nigerian Vice President Kashim Shettima urged pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj to conduct themselves in a manner that positively reflects on the country. During the official flag-off of the Hajj airlift at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, about 500 pilgrims from Kogi State departed for Saudi Arabia on the inaugural flight. Shettima emphasized that the Hajj is a national responsibility and called on pilgrims to comply with the laws of the host nation while representing Nigeria with dignity.
