Nepal: Army rescues hundreds, diaspora mourns the dead

In Rasuwa, the Nepalese army rescued around 350 people trapped in a hydroelectric tunnel after flooding occurred on August 26. Rescuers were filmed extracting victims from the mud and evacuating survivors by helicopter. Rescue operations are focused on the Upper Trishuli-3A hydroelectric project, where over 100 workers and residents were stranded.
