Mamdani says Trump to grant visa to mother of boy killed in Bronx shooting

New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani says Donald Trump agreed to grant an immediate visa to the mother of Javits Frimpong, a 15-year-old Ghanaian boy shot dead in the Bronx. His mother hopes to travel to New York to say goodbye; Javits was chased by three teenagers on his way to school on Thursday and died in hospital that day. He had told his father he was being bullied at school, and police are investigating, with no arrests made so far. Ghanaian Foreign Minister Sam Okudzeto Ablakwa said Ghanaian officials were helping his mother with her visa application.
