Prolonged power cuts are compounding the suffering of millions, especially in coastal cities like Mukalla and Aden, where electricity is available only a few hours a day. Residents in Aden report blackouts lasting eight hours with only two hours of power. The Houthi-controlled north is also affected, and growing frustration is rekindling fears of unrest in a country still reeling from over a decade of conflict.
