Nigeria: 120,000-seat cathedral inaugurated in Port Harcourt by Salvation Ministries

Salvation Ministries inaugurated the Hand of God Cathedral on November 6, 2026, in Igwuruta near Port Harcourt, at a ceremony led by its founder, Pastor David Ibiyeomie. The building, announced as having capacity for 120,000 people, covers about 56,000 square metres, has eight floors and five wings, and is designed in the shape of an open hand. Bishop David Oyedepo, leader of Living Faith, attended after arriving the previous day. The church says the auditorium is larger than Oyedepo’s 109,000-seat The Ark, though no independent source has confirmed the ranking; services had already been held at the site in January 2022.
