Met investigate donation to Jenrick's Tory leadership campaign

The Metropolitan Police have launched an investigation into a £37,500 donation to Robert Jenrick's 2024 Conservative leadership campaign, suspected of originating overseas (US company Innovyz). The Electoral Commission passed the information to the Met in January 2026. Jenrick, now a Reform MP, denies the allegations and says he has had no contact with police on the matter.

Nine family members, two-month-old baby killed in fresh Plateau attack

At least nine members of the same family, including a two-month-old baby, were killed in an attack by suspected gunmen on Kum and Wereng-Camp communities in Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State late Saturday night. The village head was critically injured. Residents fled to nearby bushes. Security agencies have been notified and personnel deployed.
