Dakar: 15 arrests in a crackdown on organized prostitution in Medina and Fass

On Sunday, June 7, 2026, the research brigade of the Medina district police station arrested fifteen people in two houses in the Rue 41×20 and Fass neighborhoods of Dakar, suspected of organized prostitution and public order disturbances. The arrests followed repeated complaints from residents tired of the nuisances. Among those arrested are seven Sierra Leoneans and eight Senegalese, all adults. Investigators seized condoms and sixteen mobile phones. The public prosecutor has been informed and a judicial investigation has been opened.
