Africa backing Infantino for unique fourth term as FIFA president

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced its support for Gianni Infantino's bid for a fourth term as FIFA president. This decision was made unanimously during a meeting before the FIFA Congress in Vancouver. Infantino, who became FIFA president in 2016, was re-elected in 2019 and 2023, and he is eligible for another term in 2027 after his first partial term was not counted.
