Nsam High School tragedy: Eleven students summoned before disciplinary board

The administration of Nsam Bilingual Technical High School has summoned eleven students and their parents to an extraordinary disciplinary board session following unrest on Wednesday. The incidents began after the announcement that Junior Cabrel Feudjio Kitio, a student in première F3-A, had died in a road accident involving a motorcycle and a waste-disposal truck; school property, including desks and computer equipment, was reportedly damaged. The students are suspected of inciting rebellion, violence and destruction of property, allegations that will be examined individually. No sanctions have been announced, following a crisis meeting led by Secondary Education Minister Nalova Lyonga on October 22.
