The players of the national team of the Democratic Republic of Congo requested President Félix Tshisekedi to include Michael Kuka, known as Lumumba Vea, in the delegation for the 2026 World Cup. This request was made by captain Chancel Mbemba during the celebration of their qualification at the Palais du Peuple in Kinshasa.
