Pikine Burglary: Cloud Videos Identify Wrestler as Suspect

After journalist A. Diouf’s home in Pikine was burglarized on the night of October 5–6, thieves allegedly took five phones, a wallet and personal documents. On October 21, the journalist reportedly found videos from one of the stolen devices after turning on a new phone; automatic cloud syncing had preserved the recordings. The footage led investigators to M. Kébé, a 25-year-old professional wrestler and neighbor of the victim, at whose room one stolen phone was allegedly found. Held in custody on suspicion of nighttime burglary involving forced entry, he denies involvement and says he bought the device for 25,000 CFA francs at Thiaroye market.
