Wantam Movement Launches Digital Vote to Pick 2027 Presidential Candidate

The Wantam Movement has launched a digital voting platform, called the Wantam Digital Election System, allowing supporters to choose their preferred presidential candidate for the 2027 General Election. Voting will take place online from July 25 (6am) to July 26 (6pm) 2026, with results streamed in real time. Sixteen aspirants are on the ballot, including Martha Karua, Rigathi Gachagua, Kalonzo Musyoka, and David Maraga. The process involves two stages: an initial digital vote to narrow the field to five finalists, followed by a public debate and a final vote. Committee Chairperson Francis Masinde said the initiative ensures transparency and direct supporter participation.
