WHO Warns of Ebola Spread Risk as Kenya Activates Emergency Response Measures

Kenya is on alert after the WHO declared the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda a 'public health emergency of international concern.' The outbreak, caused by the Bundibugyo strain, has already resulted in 80 deaths and 246 suspected infections. In response, the Kenyan Ministry of Health has activated preparedness measures, including enhanced screening at entry points and the establishment of a National Ebola Preparedness Team.
