Wifi in Senegal: ARTP Tightens Its Stance and Makes a Major Announcement

The Director General of ARTP, Mr. Dahirou Thiam, addressed the issue of 'community wifi' during a meeting with journalists. He emphasized that any electronic communications activity requires prior authorization, including the commercialization of Internet services. ARTP clarified that this regulation applies to all operators, including Sonatel and Expresso, and invited interested individuals to contact its services for the necessary authorizations.
