FIFA has decided to increase the base payments for each federation participating in the 2026 World Cup by 2 million dollars, raising the minimum amount to 12.5 million dollars. This decision follows concerns raised by some federations, particularly from Europe, regarding preparation costs. Financial support for training will also increase from 1.5 million to 2.5 million dollars. The tournament will take place in the United States, Canada, and Mexico starting June 11.
