World Cup 2026: Donald Trump will not attend US opening game

President Donald Trump will not attend the US men's national team's opening match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup against Paraguay, according to World Cup Task Force CEO Andrew Giuliani. Giuliani cited scheduling commitments but hinted Trump might appear later in the tournament. The decision breaks with the tradition of host nation heads of state attending their team's first match.
