Wouri Riverbank Road: CUD mobilizes 1.8 billion FCFA to compensate 300 households

The Douala Urban Community (CUD) has mobilized 1.8 billion FCFA to compensate 300 households affected by the Wouri riverbank road development project. The funds are available and will be disbursed soon to facilitate the progress of the construction, which connects the Maetur Roundabout to Denver over a 1.5 km stretch. Officially launched in March 2025, the project is expected to be completed by 2027, with financing of 41.4 billion FCFA provided by China First Highway Engineering Company.
