Insurance regulators from six East African countries are working towards common supervision rules to create a more harmonized insurance market. The East African Insurance Supervisors Association (EAISA), which includes regulators from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, and the Democratic Republic of Congo, adopted a harmonized insurance core principles assessment template during a recent meeting held in Nairobi.
