Wrestling: Kinshasa to Host the 2027 African Championships

The DRC has been designated as the host country for the 41st edition of the African Wrestling Championships in 2027 during the General Assembly of UWW-Africa held in Alexandria, Egypt. This decision, supported by the president of United World Wrestling, Nenad Lalovic, marks an important moment for Congolese sports. Éric Kinzambie, president of the Congolese Wrestling Federation, emphasized the need for rigorous organization for this event, which will be a first for sub-Saharan Africa.
