Morocco: “More serious for Saibari”—what is his injury?

Ismaël Saibari left the Klassiker between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund in the 29th minute on Saturday and later left the stadium on crutches. Bayern sporting director Max Eberl described Saibari’s and Serge Gnabry’s injuries as “more serious,” while Michael Olise’s injury appeared less concerning. Physiotherapist Thamer Al-Shahrani suggested the injury could involve ankle ligaments, possibly even the knee, but no official diagnosis has been made. Further tests will determine the severity and how long the Moroccan midfielder, who has two goals and three assists in eight Bundesliga matches, will be out.
