Friday in Senegal is an informal urban institution that changes the city's rhythm, with offices emptying early, streets altering density, and mosques overflowing. Yet this exceptional day is managed with functionalist urban planning tools without proper adaptation. The article proposes making Friday a 'third time' of the city, inspired by Henri Lefebvre's 'rhythmanalysis', and turning it into a public policy for urban rhythm to strengthen social cohesion.
