Energy CS Wandayi disowns fuel import deal

Energy Cabinet Secretary Opiyo Wandayi disowned a controversial fuel import deal worth Sh12 billion, stating he had neither knowledge nor approval of it. He mentioned that the importation was carried out without his authorization and outside the legally recognized government-to-government contract framework. Wandayi also expressed his inability to explain the sudden resignation of three senior officials involved in the scandal.
