KRA hands over e-tracking of Northern Corridor cargo to private providers

The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has completed its transition to a privately supplied electronic cargo-tracking system. The Multi-Vendor User-Owned Electronic Seals Framework took effect on October 26, replacing KRA-owned electronic seals for dry cargo and motor vehicles. Fifteen approved vendors can now supply the seals, in a move intended to reduce delays at the Port of Mombasa and border crossings serving East and Central Africa.
