A young woman of Nigerien origin, linked to M.Y., alias 'Amada', was arrested in Togo at the end of April 2026 while in possession of two luxury vehicles stolen from Canada. Investigators suspect a strategic redeployment of the luxury car trafficking network following Amada's incarceration on March 4, 2026. The suspect was already under surveillance by international police and had reportedly stayed in Tunisia in February 2026, raising investigators' interest. Accomplices are believed to continue the operations of transporting and reselling stolen vehicles between Europe and West Africa.
