The Portuguese Football Federation suspended Cristiano Ronaldo for 30 days and fined him €255 after he left the national team camp in Denmark during the September international break. The Portugal captain departed before the Nations League match against Denmark on September 30 amid tensions with head coach Jorge Jesus. Fabrizio Romano reported that Ronaldo apologised and had said he would accept a punishment. Ronaldo is expected to be available for Portugal’s November international fixtures, subject to selection.
