From May 11 to 13, 2026, representatives from health ministries and civil society gathered in Abidjan to revitalize the response to pediatric HIV in West and Central Africa. Four countries, including Côte d'Ivoire and Cameroon, account for 67% of children living with HIV in the region. Participants emphasized the importance of the new Global Strategy against AIDS 2026-2031 and made a call to action based on three strategic levers, including political engagement from First Ladies.
