Xenophobia: We're considering retaliatory measures against South Africans - FG

The Nigerian Federal Government is considering retaliatory measures following xenophobic attacks on Nigerians in South Africa. Foreign Affairs Minister Bianca Ojukwu stated that repatriation flights for Nigerians who wish to return are being finalized after documentation and screening of over 1,000 citizens in cooperation with South African authorities. Ojukwu noted Nigeria's sacrifices for South Africa's independence struggle, including reserved school seats and demonstrations. She did not rule out punitive responses against South Africans.
