The Niger State Police Command has announced immediate enforcement of regulations against vehicles with covered, defaced or missing number plates. In a statement by Police Public Relations Officer SP Wasiu Abiodun, the move targets motorists who deliberately conceal or tamper with plates. Commissioner of Police CP Adamu Abdullahi Elleman directed Area Commanders and DPOs to enforce the rules under Section 10(3) of the Road Traffic Act 2004 and Regulation 38 of the National Road Traffic Regulations 2012. Vehicle owners are urged to display valid plates without coverings or obstructions.
